2011 Varsity Pre and Post Season

The Cavaliers traveled to the bright lights at Broadway for the Region III Division 4 championship and fell to the Fighting Gobblers 29-14.  It was a very good year for the football team as they went from a 2-8 regular season last year to 8-2 this year and the second seed for the regional playoffs.  When all was said and done, the Cavs ended up as the regional runner-up and a final record of 9-3.  Click on the photo below of the final play of the game to see more pictures of the pre and post season.



2011 Varsity Regular Season

The Cavaliers finished the regular season with an 8-2 record on the year, a great turn around from their 2-8 record the prior year.  Click on the picture below to see more pictures from the year.



2010 Varsity Season

The Cavaliers finished the 2010 season at Stinger Stadium against the Brookville Bees.  It was a high scoring affair with the Bees coming out on top by a final score of 48-35.    Below is #22 Aaron Bannister lead blocking for #2 Marcus Jones.  Click on the photo below to see more pictures from the game.

2009 Varsity Season
The Cavaliers finished the season with a 27-20 loss against Brookville.  They finished the season with a 5-5 record and just missed  the playoffs.   The picture below represents how close the Cavaliers were to making the playoffs.  Click on the photo below to see more pictures of the team.

2009 JV Season
The team traveled to Brookville for the last game of the season and was handed a 25-0 loss.  It was an up and down year for the team as they had some big wins against Turner Ashby and Amherst along with some disappointing losses to Brookville and Rustburg.  Since this will be the last posting for the JV team this year I thought I would feature a picture of my son Alex who's positions were fullback and punter.  Below is a picture of one of his three punts versus Brookville.
